Stephanie Feeney 

Stephanie Feeney is a  Visiting Researcher in the Visual Cultures Department of Goldsmiths, University of London having completed the MA in Contemporary Art Theory there in 2011.  Her research focuses on socially engaged contemporary art, in particular performance art, lens based media such as film and photography, popular media visual culture and popular culture. She is particularly interested in the subject of material and immaterial labour in art, the political economy and art, contemporary social movements and protest, art and politics, globalization and the nation state with a particular focus on Ireland.

She co-founded The Future State expanding on the success of The Future State of Irelandan interdisciplinary event that examined cultural responses to the economic crash in Ireland after a period of economic boom widely known as The Celtic Tiger years.
